"أَونّه"

This word is used in the emirati dialect, to imply that you doubt what you have been told and sometimes it's used to imply that sb/sth is being phony.

  • سعيد قال، أونّه هو مريض، عشان جذي (جذه) ما حضر الاجتماع.

(You doubt that Saeed is really sick)

  • شيخة قالت، أونْهَا شافت نمر جدّامها، بس ما خافت (أو: ما زاغت)

(You doubt that shaikha saw a tiger and was not afraid)

  • أونّه المحل مسوّي تنزيلات، بس الأسعار بعدها غالية.

(You doubt it's true sales)
